Writing leads to aging
Back in May, she wrote "mom" on the side of the tub and was crazy proud of herself. We had been working on tracing, but they taught them that one for Mother's Day cards at school.
A few weeks (couple of months at this point, maybe) she told me she wanted to write her name. She got 99% of it right copying what I'd written. We had to get the N's to not look like M's. Easy enough.
At this point, she's fully functional. She can write her name with no prompt. She can spell it for anyone that asks. She can find the keys on the computer and type it.
She asked to learn the other letters. We got a couple of workbooks: letters and numbers. She wanted more so we picked up cutting, pasting, and coloring. She's cutting like a pro. Her teachers say she's the only one whose pencil holding they don't have to correct.
She can identify most of the numbers. She's counting to almost 20 (which is amazing considering I rarely remember to help her count past 5 or 10). She's starting to play with addition on her fingers.
She can identify heaps of letters and is asking about sounds. She actually sounded out "hat" one day.
When did she become more 4 than 3?

Intuitively obvious
Apparently AppleTV is simple enough for RC. I left her watching Blue while I went up to get Corin from his nap. I came back to her dancing like a mad woman around the living room to Deep Blue Something (the only artist on the thing right now). She proclaims, "I pushed something and made it make music."
